Ex- Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- doctor stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief CPS official said, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges follow what police described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is due to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
