I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
