Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is set to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation won’t take place until season 3, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has now been chosen.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. The role has the ability to change into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a version of that role re-envisioned as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the original manga and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside several other new cast members set to bring the group to the screen, featuring leader the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Though Bon Clay is a important part of Baroque Works, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of precise humor and emotional depth makes them a ideal selection for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for writing and starring in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is due to premiere for its season two on March 10, 2026.
