Hulu to Bring a Popular Game TV Series from the Creators of Alien: Earth and the Comedy Hit.

The newest Far Cry instalment that gamers explored was Far Cry 6, that showcased Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist, Antón, and debuted during October 6, 2021. As a series, it has a reputation for delighting in action and mayhem with the same excitement, all while presenting gripping, socially charged tales. Little surprise that FX's new order for a Far Cry seasonal program brought on board two producers whose work have exemplified all of those elements.

About the Series

Inspired by Ubisoft's hit video game series, the short-run anthology series will be available on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The series will also mirror the video games' format by introducing a different location and group of personalities in each season.

Key Producers

Rob Mac, mastermind of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the mind behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will act as executive producers on the series through their companies, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be accompanied by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

We’ve shared outstanding relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a collective six series and 32 seasons of television, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a news release. “I have no doubt that they will present this story in a way that is innovative, engrossing, and wildly entertaining. We also want to thank our associates at Ubisoft for placing confidence in us with this beloved property.”

What’s Next

Mac will also appear in the show, but as of now, we have no details on what role that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was recently approved for another season, with FX and Disney signing a new long-term contract with the showrunner.

“Having the opportunity alongside Noah Hawley is a fantasy come true,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been remarkably generous, placing faith in us with one of the most renowned video-game realms ever created. And through it all, my FX partners constantly supports me with their constant trust and backing.”

“The aspect I admire about the Far Cry game franchise is that it’s an anthology-style series. Each game is a interpretation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a variation on a story,” noted Hawley. “To develop a epic action show that can evolve from season to season, while always examining the nature of society through this multifaceted and unpredictable viewpoint, is a long-held aspiration. I’m thrilled to partner with Rob and bring our mutual irreverent, visionary sensibility to the screen.”

A release window for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has not yet been revealed. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus internationally.
