This is a party-sized pre-mixed which is bursting with the tastes associated with holiday season, rendering it ideal for hosting a celebration. Makes enough for 10 guests
For the Clementine Cordial (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
For the Cocktail (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
To prepare the Cordial: Combine all the items into a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, turn off the stove allowing it to cool entirely. Transfer into an clean bottle, cap it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about one month.
To make Cocktail Base: Combine the specified liquids into one sizeable container, allow it to infuse for an hour, then pass it through preferably using muslin, to ensure it's fully clarified.
For serving: Measure 85ml of the cocktail base to a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate carefully for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Pour to a chilled martini glass or similar, decorate with the cranberries adding the final touch using a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
